I. Getting Started.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A. Connecting your calculator to your computer.
--------------------------------------------------
+Grab the chord that connects your calculator to your computer and keep track of it
DONT PLUG IN YOUR CALCULATOR YET windows XP does not know how to install the calculator
correctly yet, and doing so the wrong way may cripple your chances of connectivity later on.
+Install TIConnect
just google TI connect and you should get a direct link to the file from the Texas instruments
website. thats how i did it. easier than trying to find a way through that tangled mess they call
"user friendly". Then once youve downloaded it install it.
If your doing it right, you should get this window that says something like "OH NO! THIS COULD RUIN
YOUR COMPUTER FOREVER!" dont believe it. XP is a total retard and can't tell a good program from a bad
sometimes. just click ok. if you did it right, the driver should be ready for calculator installation.
but WAIT!!

B. USING TI CONNECT TO PUT PROGRAMS TO YOUR CALCULATOR
-----------------------------------------------------------
+Please plug in your calculator now. windows will at least try to install it directly. doesnt matter if
it works, but let it do it anyway.
+open up TIConnect. Once its open, turn on your calculator.
+Click "Device explorer"
+let it connect, it may take a little while.
+While it's unzipping, unarchive (unzip) the folder, Escape!.zip.
+Open the folder, and when it's done connecting, do the following:
-Look at the Connector Screen, the top half is unarchived, the bottom half, under Flash/Archive, is archived. (dont worry about what they mean yet)
-Drag the Escape! Unarchived TIGroup (what looks like a wierd folder) and drag it into the top half of the window.
-Click "Yes to all" on the transfer okaying
-Let it transfer the programs into the calculator, my programs ar pretty small and will not take more than thirty seconds,
unless your computer is very slow. But it still shouldn't take long. Until it comes to xLib. thats a whole application.
-Then, drag the Escape! Archived TIGroup into the bottom half of the window
-If you want to have the map editor, for now i would put it in the archive section, to have enough RAM to run Escape
-drag the Map editor programs into the archived section (all of them)
-later you can unarchive them to use the program (more on that later)

C. Installing xLib on your calculator
---------------------------------------
+xLib is an assembly library that i use in my BASIC coding to make it much, much faster.
+Assembly is a type of coding that the calculator direcly uses as its OS, which is why Asm Programs run much faster than
BASIC programs.
+xLib also handles graphics, which is the main reason why i use it.
+To install xLib, go to your applications "app" and hit enter on "xLib" then youll see a screen that says:
"xLib
1. Install
2. uninstall
3. Exit"
To make your life easier, just hit one then three. it doesnt take long to install, it just makes an assembly variable
into your calculator for referance in coding.
+three will take you back to the regular screen.

D. Archiving/Unarchiving Variables
--------------------------------------
+Your calculator calls everything variables so thats what im calling them.
+Everything is pre-unarchived and my programs dont take up that much space, but for convenience, i would archive the
three pictures that go with the program.
+To archive them press 2nd then "+" then archive/unarchive then scroll down to the three pictures, 7,8,and 9. hit enter
next to those three, you should see a "*" or multiplacation sign next to them.
+You also should archive any other program besides the ones with the "ESC" beginning, to make sure you have enough RAM
to run the programs well.
+Now you can run the program!
+The groups in review:

	-Escape!
	ESC_(all programs starting with ESC)->unarchived
	Pic 0,2,3,4,7,8,9->archived

	-Escape Map Editor
	AB
	EMM_(all programs starting with EMM)
	Pic6
	->	ALL UNARCHIVED

	pic5 -> ARCHIVED

II.Playing the Game
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now you can play the game! But how?
Run the program "ESC" to do that, goto your program list, the "prgm" button and then scroll down to ESC and hit enter.
Youre done!

A. Controls
--------------
up- Walk forward
Left- Turn left
Right- Turn Right
Down- Walk backwards

2nd- shoot

B.Enemies
-----------
When you walk into a room, be vigilant. Youre enemies are always around you, so find them and kill them first before they
kill you! You can be hit three times before dying, and killing an enemy replenishes your health. so make it a sort of hunt
to find and kill them. But also find your way through the maze.
BE CAREFUL!
no matter if youve been in a room or not, just walked through a door, anything. Theyre there (4 times out of 5). They
could be behind you when you walk through a door or in a room you just were in. Why? theyre stalking you.
When youre shot, youll know. Theyre not that quick to react, sometimes, but when they shoot you, the screen will flash
white.
Your enemies are:
The Gaurd
The Dalok (almost a copywrite infringment of doctor who ;P)
The Auto Turret
The Flydog

C.HUD
-------
On screen, you will see yourself at the bottom, possibly an enemy in front (shoot him!) and either a wall or a
continuence of a hallway in front of you. if theres a continuance, you can walk forward. if not, dont bother pressing up.
on the top left of the screen, there is a compass. It tells you which direction your facing, either north, south, east
or west, with the beginning letter. use this to your advantage.
And because youre escaping, you dont know where your going. so theres no map. but, there is a dot on a minimap on the
bottom left, which tells you the general area where your located.
Now there's a healthbar on the bottom, showing how much health you have.
